1 Corinthians 15:20–23
20But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
22For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.

Some of us call conviction “punishment” because we are more attached to our sin than to holiness.
We want God’s presence, but refuse to let go of the habits, relationships, compromises, and secret sins that keep separating us from Him.
We cannot keep feeding the flesh and wonder why our spirit feels empty.
God is not trying to control us — He is trying to purify us. Because a holy God cannot be deeply embraced by a heart that keeps making peace with sin.
Stop blaming the distance on God when He has been calling us to repentance all along.
“He who has clean hands and a pure heart… shall ascend into the hill of the Lord.” — Psalm 24:3-4
