An Earthquake Preparedness Seminar held on April 30, 2026, at the San Rafael Covered Court in Tarlac City brought together community members, barangay officials, and BPAT representatives in a unified effort to enhance disaster readiness. Spearheaded by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), Inc. – Tarlac Chapter in coordination with the MDRRMO of Gerona, and with the support of Engr. Percival N. Porlucas and Hon. Cernan Cruz, the activity equipped participants with practical knowledge on earthquake preparedness, response, and safety measures. By fostering awareness and encouraging coordinated action at the community level, the seminar highlighted the vital role of collaboration in building safer, more resilient communities capable of effectively responding to natural hazards.

The PICE Tarlac Chapter proudly participated in the 2nd PICE Angeles Chapter Golf Tournament held on April 11, 2026, at the Beverly Place Golf Club in Mexico, Pampanga. The event brought together civil engineering professionals from various chapters, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship beyond the field of engineering.

Highlighting the chapter’s strong presence, Engr. Efren Leonardo, a member of the Board of Directors of the PICE Tarlac Chapter, delivered an outstanding performance and emerged as the Champion in the Class A Division. His achievement not only reflects his skill and dedication to the sport but also brings pride and recognition to the Tarlac Chapter.

The participation of PICE Tarlac in this event underscores its commitment to strengthening professional relationships and engaging in activities that promote unity among engineers in the region.

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) Tarlac Chapter actively demonstrated its commitment to public service through its “Lakbay Alalay” motorist assistance activity held on April 1, 2026 (Holy Wednesday) in Parsolingan, Gerona, Tarlac.

Aligned with the observance of Holy Week, the initiative aimed to ensure the safety and convenience of motorists traveling during the peak holiday period. PICE volunteers were stationed along the route to provide basic assistance, traffic guidance, and support to commuters, helping promote a safer and more orderly travel experience.

This meaningful outreach reflects the organization’s dedication beyond the engineering profession, extending compassion and service to the community, especially during significant national observances.

The PICE Tarlac Chapter continues to strengthen its advocacy by actively engaging with the local government units (LGUs) of Tarlac. During the first quarter of 2026 (January–March), the Chapter conducted courtesy visits to the Municipalities of Moncada and Anao, as well as to the Office of the Provincial Governor of Tarlac, fostering collaboration and reinforcing its commitment to public service and professional partnership.
