LPIHS - Special Program in Journalism

𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗗𝗔𝗬, 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧!

For incoming Grade 7 students who want to be part of the LPIHS-Special Program in Journalism, the ADMISSION EXAMINATION will be held on 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝟬𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. The exam will consist of the following: multiple choice exam, essay, skill exam, & interview.

For the skill exam, please choose 1 from the following categories and bring the needed materials:
1. Writing - ballpen
2. Editorial cartooning - Mongol pencil
3. Photojournalism - phone with camera
4. Layouting - art materials
5. Broadcasting - ballpen

Interested applicants may submit their documents to the LPIHS-Guidance Office on or before 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝟬𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

𝗦𝗘𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨!

𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽, Paladian students explored on July 31 the powerful art of visual commentary during the Editorial Cartooning session of the PALAJOURN Workshops 2025.

Mark Vinson Cabalsa, Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) alumni and former editorial cartoonist, highlighted the technical and content elements of an editorial cartoon, and cited several samples for visual analysis. As part of the event, participants were tasked to draw their opinion about the flood control program and the 20-peso rice dream of the country.
