A moment of hope and love filled the grounds of Bato Elementary School last December 10, 2025, as ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ด ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ด: ๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ข๐ด๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐จ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ was conducted through the guidance of the Basic Education Research and Extension Office of Davao Central College. With the unified efforts of the Elementary Supreme Pupil Government, JHS DCC Supreme Student Council, DCC Senior High School Supreme Student Government, and the dedicated faculty and staff, the celebration brought joy and warmth to the learners. The event proudly showcased the vibrant spirit of unity and generosity that the yuletide season inspires.
Anchored in the goal of sharing the warmth of Christmas, the initiative sought to transform heartfelt intentions into tangible acts of kindness, allowing the basic education students, faculty, and staff to extend joy to the beneficiaries. The celebration began with a welcoming message from OIC Ma'am Eliza May Florin, who expressed deep appreciation for the institution's continued commitment to supporting young learners and uplifting their well-being. She highlighted how programs like this strengthen the bond between schools and communities, creating meaningful experiences for the children they serve.
The program featured a series of engaging activities, including a fun and lively energizer to set the mood, interactive games that encouraged camaraderie and confidence, and an engaging community dance. A message of hope was delivered by DCC Elementary Supreme Pupil Government President Daniel Pederez, reminding everyone that the true essence of Christmas lies in choosing kindness, offering love, and believing that even small acts of goodness can brighten someoneโs world.
Gift-giving became the most meaningful part of the event, made possible by the generosity of DCCโs basic education students together with the faculty and staff through the Share-A-Joy Initiative. This collective effort ensured that each child received something special, a gesture that carried with it the message that they are valued and remembered. With the school administrationโs support, the activity was able to run smoothly and create genuine moments of connection with the children.
In the closing message, BED Research and Extension Coordinator Mr. Rolly Jay Lingasa encouraged everyone to carry this experience with them, reminding the community that the true spirit of giving is found in sharing from the heart for the good of others. He expressed hope that moments like this inspire more kindness, more compassion, and more unity within and beyond the school community.
As the event came to an end, smiles, laughter, and grateful hearts filled the atmosphere. The day became a gentle reminder that hope grows when it is shared and that love becomes more meaningful when it is given freely. May the warmth created at Bato Elementary School continue to ripple outward, inspiring more people to touch lives, uplift communities, and keep the spirit of giving alive all throughout the year. ๐๐๐๐

Anchored on its objective to inspire joy and strengthen community engagement, the activity emphasized collaborative service and educational enrichment. The celebration opened with welcoming remarks from Head Principal Mr. Ronald G. Poticar, who expressed deep appreciation to the partnering institutions for their unwavering commitment to the schoolโs learners and community.
Representatives from the Silangan Multipurpose Cooperative and the Miller TEU Advisory followed with messages underscoring their continued dedication to youth-centered community outreach programs. PNP Police Lieutenant Colonel Christian Antonio B. Garcia contributed an inspiring message that highlighted the importance of discipline, safety, and united service for childrenโs welfare.
The program featured a series of engaging presentations, including an intermission number, a Kindergarten performance, and a storytelling activity that promoted creativity, early literacy, and active participation among the pupils. A festive highlight of the morning was the arrival of Santa Claus, welcomed with excitement by students as he helped distribute gifts and spread Christmas cheer.
Gift-giving became the heart of the event, with generous contributions from the Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) Advisory, Silangan Multipurpose Cooperative, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the REIDI Office, and the College of Criminal Justice Education. DCC REIDI, represented by Arabella Ann N. Lucena (CES Coordinator), and Squared, represented by Ernie P. Olin (Squared President), proudly participated in a Coastal Clean-Up and Mangrove Planting activity of Society of Education and Liberal Arts (SEALS) at Aboitiz Cleanergy Park on November 22, 2025. This meaningful environmental initiative brought together dedicated student leaders and partners committed to sustainability and community engagement.
Participants worked hand-in-hand to remove trash along the shoreline, helping restore the coastal ecosystem and minimize pollution. They also planted mangrove seedlings, recognizing their essential role in supporting marine biodiversity, preventing erosion, and strengthening natural coastal defenses.
One of the highlights of the activity was the introduction of participants to the rescued pawikan (sea turtles) under the care and protection of the Cleanergy Park team. Students were given the opportunity to learn about the parkโs conservation programs, including the rescue, rehabilitation, and safeguarding of these marine species. This experience deepened their appreciation for wildlife preservation and the urgency of protecting vulnerable marine habitats.
The event showcased the power of collaboration among student organizations and campus partners, reinforcing the message that environmental protection becomes more impactful when done together. Members of DCC REIDI and Squared concluded the activity with a renewed commitment to sustainability, conservation, and environmental stewardship.
Through this initiative, participants reaffirmed their shared mission: to protect todayโs environment and preserve the natural treasures of our coasts for generations to come. ๐ฑ๐๐ข๐
