Before I discuss, let me inform you the Weddings At Work online bridal fair is still on. I have discounted rates for emceeing/hosting. DM to inquire :)

On to the discussion:

Expectation: the bride chose you generally because you’re close and you’d most likely help with the preps (from being a listening ear to actually doing errands), and you won’t make things difficult (eg scheduling your fitting or sending in measurements or not complaining about the call time).

Roles:

Secondary sponsors have candle, veil, and cord duties

Bridesmaids should be helping the MOH assist the bride but generally the church allows the coordinators to do this so then the bridesmaids do not have major roles anymore. (Good to check if your church will allow the coords to move or expects the MOH and BMs to do these duties at the altar area.)

Maid/Matron/Man of Honor: they are supposed to assist with the train, have the principal sponsors sign the marriage contract, and give a message during the reception (these are the basic stuff)
