In the harsh winter months, the community of Hussaini faces significant challenges in accessing clean water. To address this pressing need, a dedicated group of volunteers has embarked on a crucial mission to transport a water pipe along the scenic yet rugged banks of the Hunza River to Zarabad. This initiative aims to connect the water supply from Zarabad directly to Hussaini, ensuring that residents have reliable access to water during the cold season when traditional sources may freeze or become inaccessible.

In the picturesque landscape of Batura , Hussaini Controlled conservancy area, a seasoned hunter embarks on his hunting expedition of the season, aiming to secure a trophy-sized ibex of 45 inch horn. This region is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and diverse wildlife, making it an ideal location for such pursuits. The local community, particularly the Hussaini conservation committee, plays a crucial role in facilitating this hunt. They provide invaluable assistance by sharing their extensive knowledge of the terrain and ibex behavior, ensuring that the hunt is conducted sustainably and ethically. Their involvement not only enhances the experience for the hunter but also promotes conservation efforts that benefit both wildlife and local livelihoods

The GLOF-II (Glacial Lake Outburst Flood) project, supervised by HOLD (Hussaini Organization for Local Development) and CBDRMC (Community-Based Disaster Risk Management Cell), aims to construct a protective wall measuring 600 feet along the riverbed at Hussaini Gojal. This initiative is designed to combat land erosion caused by glacial melt at the peak season, thereby reclaiming land for agricultural use. The involvement of community members is crucial; they are actively participating in the physical labor required to ensure the project’s success. Their engagement not only fosters a sense of ownership but also enhances community resilience against future environmental challenges.
