It is about 10 km away from Khas, the principal city of the Nagar Valley. Hopar is the most beautiful valley of district Nagar. Hoper valley is next to Nagar proper . Hoper Valley is the site of the Spantik and Hopar (Hopper) glaciers. Hoper is consist beautiful sites namely Hakalshall Baroshall Ratal Gshashoshall and Holshall.

Hopar Valley is a cluster of villages around a natural bowl at a bend of Bualtar Glacier. Opposite Hopar the white Bualtar is joined by the Barpu Glacier. Three sides of Hoper valley is covered by Hoper glacier between the glacier this glacier is start from Bawalter peak and ends at Harchi Nagar proper and this is known as one of the fast moving glaciers in the world.
This is a base camp for treks into the high, glacier-draped peaks called the Hispar Muztagh. Hoper valley start from Sapulter har(stream) and end at Rest house (glacier view point) in Gshashoshall. Whole population of this valley is Burushaski speakers. This valley has many natural resources and natural beauty but ignorance by the government and local politicians contributes to it not being realized for its potential.
Hoper is very famous for bowl shape design and the road from Nagar proper to rest house through a center of valley provide some extra beauty to the valley. While Hoper valley is far away from Gilgit main city but very charming and tourists attraction spot and ancient history belongs to this land. there are still ruins of old kingdoms and settlements ruins of ancient life. mountains are like Golden peak(famous for there high degree altitude) Bawalter peak(from where hoper glacier starts) Spantic peak Mier peak(from where miers glacier starts)and rushsh lake (alpine lake of ).
