The first ever Drug, Water and Food testing laboratory GB is established under the so moto order of Supreme Appellate Court GB
گلگت: سیکرٹری ہیلتھ آصف اللہ خان کی ہدایات پر ڈرگ واٹر اینڈ فوڈ ٹیسٹنگ لیبارٹری کی آن اسپاٹ ٹیسٹنگ ٹیم نے Assistant Commissioner Gilgit اور Assistant Commissioner Danyor کے ہمراہ مختلف مارکیٹس میں سب اسٹینڈرڈ اور غیر معیاری اشیاء کے خلاف کارروائی کی۔
کارروائی کے دوران ٹیسٹنگ کے مرحلے میں متعدد خوردنی تیل کے نمونے چیک کیے گئے جن میں سے کچھ کو غیر معیاری اور مضر صحت قرار دیتے ہوئے موقع پر ہی تلف کر دیا گیا۔ اسی طرح دودھ اور دودھ سے تیار شدہ اشیاء کی بھی آن اسپاٹ جانچ پڑتال کی گئی تاکہ ملاوٹ اور معیار کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔
غیر معیاری اشیاء رکھنے والوں کو موقع پر وارننگ جاری کی گئی جبکہ بعض افراد پر جرمانے بھی عائد کیے گئے۔ حکام نے واضح کیا کہ عوامی صحت کے تحفظ کے لیے معیاری خوراک کی فراہمی یقینی بنانا اولین ترجیح ہے اور خلاف ورزی کرنے والوں کے خلاف سخت قانونی کارروائی جاری رہے گی.

Additional Secretary Health Gilgit-Baltistan visited the Drug, Water and Food Testing Laboratory (DWFTL) Gilgit today. During the visit, the Additional Secretary reviewed laboratory operations, ongoing testing procedures, and quality control measures to ensure public health safety standards are being maintained.
The official appreciated the efforts of the laboratory staff and emphasized the importance of accurate and timely testing of drugs, water, and food samples to safeguard the health of the community.
