Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Approves Denotification of Caretaker Cabinet

GILGIT: Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Syed Mehdi Shah has approved the denotification of the caretaker cabinet, formally bringing the interim administration to an end following the formation of the new provincial government.

According to official sources, the approval marks the conclusion of the caretaker government’s tenure, paving the way for the newly elected administration to assume full executive responsibilities.

The denotification is part of the constitutional transition process after the installation of the new government in Gilgit-Baltistan. Relevant departments are expected to issue the formal notification and implement the decision in accordance with official procedures.

Former Gilgit-Baltistan Lawmaker Javed Hussain Arrested in Cheque Bounce Case

ALIABAD, Hunza: Former Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly member and prominent businessman Javed Hussain, popularly known as CM was arrested by Aliabad Police in connection with a cheque bounce case and subsequently sent to judicial custody.

According to available information, the arrest was made after legal proceedings related to the alleged dishonouring of a cheque. Following his detention at Aliabad Police Station, the former lawmaker was produced before the relevant court, which ordered that he be sent to jail on judicial remand pending further legal proceedings.

No official statement has yet been issued by Javed Hussain or his legal representatives regarding the case. Authorities have also not disclosed additional details about the amount involved or the circumstances surrounding the alleged cheque dishonour.
