UNDP briefs Additional Chief Secretary GB on TIAEWS Project

A meeting was held in Gilgit between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) National Project Manager, Mr. Fahim Ahmed, officials of the Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Programme (GBRSP), and the Additional Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, Mr. Riaz Ahmed, to discuss the progress and implementation of the "Tailored Intelligence for Actionable Early Warning Systems" (TIAEWS) Project under the E-Care Program. The project is being implemented by UNDP and GBRSP with financial support from China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA)

During the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary was briefed on the project’s objectives, implementation strategy, and its role in strengthening emergency response mechanisms for vulnerable communities. The contributions and timely implementation efforts of the Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Programme were also highlighted in detail.

The Additional Chief Secretary appreciated the efforts of the implementing partners and assured his full support for the timely completion of the project, emphasizing its positive impact on vulnerable communities across Gilgit-Baltistan.

ہنزہ: مختلف سیاسی جماعتوں کے ناراض امیدواروں نے “ہنزہ قومی اتحاد پارٹی” کے قیام کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے آئندہ انتخابات میں حصہ لینے کا فیصلہ کر لیا۔ پارٹی کی جانب سے راجہ نظیم الامین کو امیدوار نامزد کیا گیا ہے۔ رہنماؤں کا کہنا ہے کہ نئی جماعت ہنزہ کے عوامی مسائل کے حل اور مقامی حقوق کے تحفظ کے لیے انتخابی میدان میں اترے گی۔

ہنزہ: وفاقی وزیر برائے امور کشمیر، گلگت بلتستان و سیفران انجینئر امیر مقام نے قراقرم انٹرنیشنل یونیورسٹی ہنزہ کیمپس میں وزیراعظم یوتھ لیپ ٹاپ اسکیم کی تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ وزیراعظم شہباز شریف کی قیادت میں گلگت بلتستان میں ترقیاتی منصوبوں، دانش اسکولز، قابلِ تجدید توانائی اور جدید تعلیمی سہولیات کے فروغ پر خصوصی توجہ دی جا رہی ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت نوجوانوں کو جدید تعلیم، ڈیجیٹل مہارتوں اور تحقیق کے مواقع فراہم کرنے کے لیے عملی اقدامات کر رہی ہے، جبکہ وزیراعظم یوتھ لیپ ٹاپ اسکیم اسی وژن کا اہم حصہ ہے۔ وفاقی وزیر نے لیپ ٹاپ حاصل کرنے والے طلبہ کو مبارکباد دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ گلگت بلتستان کے نوجوان بے پناہ صلاحیتوں کے حامل ہیں۔
تقریب میں وائس چانسلر، فیکلٹی ممبران، طلبہ و طالبات اور معززینِ علاقہ نے شرکت کی۔ اس موقع پر وفاقی وزیر کو یونیورسٹی کی تعلیمی و ترقیاتی سرگرمیوں پر بریفنگ بھی دی گئی جبکہ انہوں نے شجرکاری مہم کے تحت پودا بھی لگایا۔
