عید کے دن وہ لوگ بڑی شدت سے یاد آتے ہیں جن کا ساتھ ہم سے چھوٹ گیا ہے•
صبح سویرے سب سے پہلے عید ملنے والے چہرے اب کہیں نظر نہیں آتے اور یہ آنکھیں دروازے کو تکتی رہتیں ہیں کے شاید وہ کہیں سے آ جائیں•
پھر اس بات سے خود کو تسلی دینی پڑھتی ہے کہ ضرور وہ بھی وہاں عید مناتے ہونگے ـ اور شاید وہ ہم سے ملنے بھی آئے ہوں بس ہم انہیں دیکھ نہیں سکے ـ کچھ لوگوں کے جانے کے بعد عیدیں ادھوری ہو جاتی ہیں ـ پھر نہ وہ مٹھاس رہتی ہے نہ وہ رونق•
الله جنت کے ان پھولوں کو خوب خوشیاں دے•
