Civil Society Support Program - CSSP

CSSP, in collaboration with Sindh Police (Sindh Government) and Minority Facilitation Desks (MFDs), conducted a series of one-day training workshops for volunteers of religious institutions across Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Dadu, Jamshoro, and Matiari districts.

A total of 137 participants attended the trainings, which aimed to strengthen the safety, security, and resilience of minority communities by enhancing capacities in worship place security, risk assessment, emergency preparedness and response, safety protocols, community policing, and coordination with law enforcement agencies.

The sessions were facilitated by Inspector Munawar David (Focal Person, Minority Facilitation Desk, Hyderabad Range), Abdul Wahid Sangrasi (Head of Programmes, CSSP), and Irum Maria (Project Manager, CSSP). The events witnessed strong participation and support from senior police leadership across districts including SSP Syed Saleem Shah (Tando Allahyar), SSP Haseeb Javed Somar Memon (Tando Muhammad Khan), SSP Qamar Raza Jiskani (Badin), SSP Sajid Ameer Sadozai (Thatta), SSP Aleena Rajper (Sujawal), SSP Captain (R) Saddam Hussain Khaskheli and DSP Nazeer Ahmed Mallah (Dadu), PSP Zaffar Siddiqui Chaanga (Jamshoro), and PSP Abdul Aleem Bullo (Matiari), along with Minority Facilitation Desk staff, religious leaders, community representatives, and police officials.

The trainings strengthened participants’ understanding of security management, risk assessment, emergency response, and coordination mechanisms with law enforcement agencies. The initiative enhanced institutional linkages and improved community-level capacity to respond to risks, contributing to safer and more resilient minority communities across Sindh.
