The IAF grounded its 30 single-seat Tejas Mk1 fleet as a standard precautionary measure after a Feb 7 landing incident at a frontline base. The jet overshot the runway (suspected brake failure), sustained major airframe damage (likely write-off), but the pilot ejected safely.

This is the 3rd Tejas incident since 2024. HAL calls it a "minor technical event on ground," not a crash. Inspections are underway to rule out issues; no permanent grounding.
