Small acts of kindness and it’s humanitarian impact
I have often noticed hardworking labourers doing their best to meet their basic needs and manage their daily expenses. We should support them not only by paying them what is due but also by giving a little extra whenever possible according to our financial capacity.
As we celebrate International Labour Day on 1st May have we ever reflected on the fact that many labourers who build homes and commercial buildings for others often do not own a house themselves?
My humble suggestion is that whenever a labourer provides a service for us, we should consider giving a small additional amount as a gesture of appreciation. Such acts of kindness bring a sense of inner peace that can only come from serving humanity.
