According to Statistics Canada’s latest survey, Canadian expect to face a variety of challenges in the short term.

The rising cost of inputs, including labour, capital, energy and raw materials, was the most commonly expected obstacle over the next three months. Over two-fifths (42.5%) of businesses expected this to be an obstacle.

Additionally, one-quarter (27.2%) of businesses expect to have difficulties acquiring inputs, products or supplies domestically, with over half (51.8%) of these businesses expecting challenges to continue for six months or more.
