Who is the first mathematics creator ???

The title of "first mathematics creator" isn't clear-cut, because mathematics developed gradually over thousands of years across many ancient civilizations. However, here are some early contributors often credited with foundational roles:

Ancient Sumerians (around 3000 BCE): They were among the first to develop a counting system and arithmetic for trade and agriculture.

Egyptians and Babylonians (around 2000 BCE): Used mathematics for engineering, astronomy, and everyday life. Babylonians developed a base-60 number system and could solve quadratic equations.

Thales of Miletus (c. 624–546 BCE): Often called the first true mathematician. He used deductive reasoning to derive geometry theorems, marking a shift toward theoretical math in ancient Greece.

Pythagoras (c. 570–495 BCE): Famous for the Pythagorean theorem, and for promoting the idea that numbers are fundamental to understanding the universe.

So while no single person "created" mathematics, Thales is often cited as the first to treat it as a formal discipline. Want to dive into one of these periods or people more deeply?
