رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا:
“سید الاستغفار (اے اللہ تو ہی میرا رب ہے...) پڑھنے والا اگر دن میں پڑھے اور شام سے پہلے فوت ہو جائے تو وہ جنتی ہے۔”
حوالہ: صحیح بخاری ، حدیث نمبر: 6306
اس حدیث میں رسول اللہ ﷺ نے سید الاستغفار کی عظیم فضیلت بیان فرمائی ہے کہ یہ استغفار تمام استغفاروں کا سردار ہے، کیونکہ اس میں بندہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی ربوبیت کا اقرار کرتا ہے، اپنے گناہوں کا اعتراف کرتا ہے اور اللہ سے سچی توبہ اور مغفرت مانگتا ہے، نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ جو شخص اسے دن میں یقین کے ساتھ پڑھ لے اور شام سے پہلے اس کی موت آ جائے تو وہ جنتی ہے، اور جو شام میں پڑھ لے اور صبح سے پہلے فوت ہو جائے تو وہ بھی جنتی ہے، اس سے یہ سبق ملتا ہے کہ مومن کو روزانہ صبح و شام سید الاستغفار کو اپنا معمول بنانا چاہیے تاکہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی رحمت اور مغفرت حاصل ہو، مثال کے طور پر اگر کوئی شخص فجر کے بعد یا دن کی شروعات میں سید الاستغفار پڑھ لے اور اپنے گناہوں پر شرمندہ ہو کر اللہ سے معافی مانگے تو یہ عمل اس کے لیے گناہوں کی معافی، دل کے سکون اور جنت کی بشارت کا ذریعہ بن جاتا ہے، یہ حدیث ہمیں یہ یقین دلاتی ہے کہ سچی توبہ اور استغفار بندے کو اللہ کے بہت قریب کر دیتا ہے اور آخرت کی کامیابی کا راستہ بن جاتا ہے۔
