Our Story

After serving for 20 years in the Army as an Electrical Engineer, Col. M.A. Khaliq decided to start his own company to produce Military oriented electronic products. Thus Multiline Engineering was formed in 1975.

Our earlier products included Military spec Battery Chargers, NiCd battery modules, Telephone Telegraph Communication equipment etc. Soon the company got its first order to produce several hundred portable 5kVA, “special purpose generating” sets for Military use. Later on over 2000 of these were produced. Multiline also became one of the major suppliers of mechanical parts for telecommunication wireless sets. During the 1980s company grew by leaps and bounds. In the mid nineties Multiline was awarded a contract to indigenously manufacture high capacity “pure sine wave” UPS for Military telecommunication application. Several hundred of these were successfully produced and supplied, subsequently.

Multiline produced and supplied the first sound-proof automatic diesel generator for a commercial client in 1996. The product was so successful that we decided to pursue this line along with some other commercial products, exclusively. Later on Automatic Voltage Regulators, UPS and Electric Gates were also added to the product line.

For the last few years Multiline has completely dominated the line conditioning and power protection products market for the telecom service providers sector. We intend to develop several new and innovative products for this market in the coming years.

Multiline is still a family run company, which works under the supervision of its founder and is being managed by his son Zubair Khaliq, who is also an American qualified Electrical Engineer. Multiline Engineering symbolizes a company dedicated to the provision of innovative engineering systems based upon solid traditions of personal service, excellence and quality engineering skills. Each year witnesses further applications of latest technology to its product innovation, reliability and total customer satisfaction.
