We are so happy to share two pieces of good news this week!

First, Shaida, whose story many of you followed over the past few weeks, has received a food supply and found a place to live. Such an encouraging step forward for her and her four children. Thank you to everyone who gave for this family. 💛

Second, the $1,475 needed to replace the security fence at Sablone House has been fully funded. Our staff, students, and families will be safe and our premises compliant with government safety requirements. We are so grateful for this support!

Last week we shared a need for our center that we are still working to meet.

Our boundary security fence has worn down over the years and is now broken in several places. The government has also directed all schools and vocational training centers to install barbed fencing due to ongoing security concerns in the region. The total cost to replace it is $1,475.

Update on Shaida and her family 💛

Thanks to the generosity of this community, we have raised the full $900 needed to cover six months of food and rent for Shaida and her four children. She lost her husband recently, and this support gives her the time and stability to find work and begin rebuilding.

We are so grateful for every person who made this possible. We will continue walking alongside this family and will keep you updated on how they are doing.

We have good news to share! 🎉
A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Shaida, a former employee and mother of four who lost her husband to illness. We asked our community to help cover her food and rent for six months while she gets back on her feet. The goal was $900.

You came through, and the full amount has been raised!
Six months of food. Six months of rent. And a family with a little more stability ahead of them. Thank you to everyone who gave, shared, or prayed. It means more than words can say.

Some needs are urgent. This is one of them.

Shaida’s youngest child is three years old. He lost his father this year. Some evenings, there isn’t enough food for the family to eat. His sisters are grieving. His mother is doing everything she can, but she can’t do it alone.

Shaida was a faithful member of our RAM center staff before tragedy upended her family’s life. We’ve stepped in with free schooling for her children, and now we’re asking our wider community to help with the basics: food and a roof.

Six months. $900. That’s all it takes to give this family a real chance.

A widow at a young age. Four children depending on her. Some days, no food on the table.

Shaida's youngest — a little boy of only 3 — doesn't fully understand why his father is gone. What he does know is hunger, and the sound of his siblings crying.

We've been able to give her children free education through our school, and now we're asking the community to take the next step with us.
