In an effort to prevent withc*cr@ft, a new measure sponsored by BAP Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri in the Senate would increase the maximum sentence from six months to seven years in jail and the maximum fine possible, up to PKR one million. The infraction would also not be subject to bail.
