Why is the map of Sri Lanka on the map of India?

According to this law, if a country's border is close to the sea, the area of ​​"200" nautical miles i.e. "370" kilometers from the border is considered as the maritime zone of that country. Now the distance between Sri Lanka and India is only "18" nautical miles. That is why Sri Lanka is shown in India's map. It is also possible that you are looking at a map suggestion that makes Sri Lanka appear closer to India or that a map of India is covering it. In fact, Sri Lanka is a separate peninsular country located in the south-east of the Indian subcontinent. Their close appearance on some maps is due to the curvature of the Earth rendering the surface flat on the map, distorting Sri Lanka with India due to size and distance.
