3. *Microglia:* Phagocytic cells that remove debris and foreign substances from the nervous system.
4. *Ependymal Cells:* Line the ventricles and central canal of the spinal cord, producing cerebrospinal fluid.

Glial cells play a crucial role in:

- Maintaining the health and function of neurons
- Regulating the chemical environment of the nervous system
- Providing structural support for neurons
- Responding to injury and disease in the nervous system

ٹوکیو: جاپان میں نئے جان لیوا وائرس کا انکشاف ہوا ہے، وائرس نے خاتون کی جان لے لی۔غیر ملکی خبر رساں ایجنسی کے مطابق نیشنل انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف انفیکٹیو ڈیزیز(این آئی آئی ڈی) اور وزارت صحت، محنت اور بہبود کی طرف سے جاری کردہ ایک رپورٹ کے مطابق نئے جان لیوا وائرس کا نام اوز ہے۔ٹوکیو کی رہائشی 70 سالہ خاتون گزشتہ سال اس وائرس سے متاثر ہوئی تھی جس نے کبھی بیرون ملک سفر نہیں کیا بلکہ اسے ہائی بلڈ پریشر سمیت بنیادی بیماریاں لاحق تھیں۔اسپتال لائی گئی مریضہ کا تفصیلی معائنہ کیا گیا تو خاتون کی دائیں ٹانگ پر ایک خون چوسنے والا کیڑا “ٹک” خون چوستا ہوا پایا گیا تاہم اسپتال میں داخل ہونے کے 26 دن بعد دل کی سوزش مایو کارڈائٹس کی علامات کی وجہ سے اس کی موت واقع ہو گئی۔یہ بھی پڑھیں: ماہرین کے مطابق اوز وائرس “ٹک” کے کاٹنے سے پھیلتا ہے جس کی نسل جاپان میں موجود ہے تاہم تاحال جاپان سے باہر اس وائرس کی تصدیق نہیں ہوئی ہے۔ جہاں پر یہ خون چونے والا کیڑا “ٹک” پایا جاتا ہے وہاں لوگوں کو اپنا پورا جسم ڈھانک کر رکھنا ہو گا اور کیڑے کے چپکنے کی صورت میں فوری ڈاکٹر سے رجوع کریں۔
