"As It Was" by Anastasiia Solonevych and Damian Kocur awarded the European Film Award candidate status at Motovun Film Festival!

The written statement of the Jury consisting of Anne Gaschütz (co-director of FilmFest Dresden, Germany), Urša Menart (director, Slovenia) and Hamed Soleimanzadeh (film critic, Iran/Germany):

"For the subtle but very approachable and visually accomplished way in which it makes us experience how the war is transforming places and people the main character used to call home, and how the growing divide between the home she remembers and the place that exists now in its place, makes it impossible for her to ever return. The Cinehill candidate for the European Film Awards is “As It Was” by Anastasiia Solonevych and Damian Kocur."
