Dear WA Running Team the Wiosenny RozRUCH UAM is up again. WNPiD is beyond anybody's reach but WA does have a decent shot for a better position than last year.
I strongly recommend NOT using their app but rather using either MapMyRun or Strava, then download your TCX files (those apps in the browser versions let you do that - you just need to open your workout in browser, open the edit options and a menu there should allos you to "download a TCX file"), and upload them on the RozRUCH DataSport website. You can just collect your files and make a file upload sesh once a week or so. The files are dated so it shouldn't be an issue. Also the app looks like an archeological find and works about as well as that.
If you choose to participate - remember, the system knows a "WA Running Team" exists. ;)

Dear WA Running Team if you have been having issues with the Wiosennny RozRUCH app but you are running using MapMyRun there is a way around using the DataSport app. I prepped it in slides here. I believe Strava also generates TCX and/or GPX files, so the step-by-step instruction should work for Strava users too - once you locate the TCX/GPX file download there.
Ans YES this allows you to add workouts retroactively, so if you have some miles logged that the app wouldn't log properly - you can fix that. :) Cheers!

Dear Runners,
The Minister for Health has officially grounded us. In doing so he managed to paint as selfish fitness freaks, disparaging all health benefits running brings. I’m sure we all understand this decision from the government was inevitable, though none of us probably appreciates being called out like this by none other than Minister for Health. The decision was right, the words it was delivered in were not.
So I thought I’d give you the words we all deserve as runners but also as responsible adults, and good citizens.
This is hard. Running helps us stay healthy in body and mind. Mind especially. Grinding to a sudden halt from mid-season mileage is hard, and by doing so we’re all risking our health. But for the sake of those most vulnerable in our communities this is the necessary sacrifice. There are hundreds of people on social media sharing free bodyweight training plans where all you need is your floor, a wall, and a few things you definitely have around the house. Use this time to build up your core strength, your leg muscles (squats are the king/queen exercise!), set aside an hour or two a day to do those at the time you’d normally go running. Not being outside, not moving, not doing what we love, what we’ve grown to depend on, is hard. But we’re runners. Long distance runners. We know how to handle pressure and time. And this is all it is. And all it will take to help drive this pandemic into the ground. Pressure and time. So keep working on your core and your legs, , , and keep your head clear. We will run again when this is over.
