Today we have something special for you. 🌊
Together with Ula Zerek from polka dot and Karolina Mielczarek from Storytelling in movement, we invite you to watch a unique film that explores how dance, storytelling, and beauty can deepen our understanding of the world and our connection to the sea.
Inspired by the natural rhythms of the seashore and personal stories of living by the sea, this wordless story shows how movement can express emotions, experiences, concerns, and insights that scientific data alone cannot fully convey.
Movement is a language shared by all living beings—from the tides shaping our coastlines to the rhythms sustaining human life. Through dance, we discover the connections that unite people, nature, and the ocean.
🎥 Watch the film and join us on this journey of discovery.

🐙Ośmiornica to najbardziej oddana mama w oceanie.

🌍 We are excited to introduce our keynote speaker for the International Junior Conference 2026 “Where the World is Heading” Timberlyn Duncan.
Timberlyn Duncan is a coastal research assistant at the Coastal Studies Institute in the Outer Banks of the United States and a master’s student in marine science at North Carolina University. Her research focuses on relationships between coastal communities and the ocean, with a particular emphasis on climate mitigation and climate justice.
For the past several years, she has also been deeply involved in education and community engagement. She is the founder of The Manny Project, an educational outreach initiative created to amplify the voices of minority youth interested in ocean conservation and marine science, while addressing disparities in access, education, and opportunity.
During the conference, Timberlyn will deliver an inspiring presentation: “As it relates… to you and to the ocean.”
She will explore the importance of celebrating diversity in coastal communities and how our cultures, languages, experiences, and stories shape the ways we understand and protect the ocean. Participants will also see photos from her research sites and gain insight into the daily life of an integrated marine researcher.
We are looking forward to this inspiring meeting! 🌊
