💧 And what about air humidity? It matters more than you'd expect.
Here's the problem. 👇

We feed a paper web into the printer and print it intensively on both sides. Water-diluted ink introduces a lot of moisture into the paper. Then the drying system removes it quickly - the paper contacts the hot surface of the cylinder or is treated with light.

The risk: when moisture leaves the paper too fast, you get an ugly effect - waviness. Wavy pages, a wavy book block.

Our answer is the production room itself. We keep the air stable and relatively humid - around 40 to 50% relative humidity. In those conditions, the waviness is far less visible.

Wprowadzamy wstęgę papieru do maszyny i intensywnie zadrukowujemy ją dwustronnie. Atrament rozcieńczany wodą wprowadza do papieru dużo wilgoci. Następnie system suszenia szybko ją usuwa - papier styka się z gorącą powierzchnią cylindra lub jest naświetlany.

Ryzyko: gdy wilgoć opuszcza papier zbyt szybko, pojawia się nieładny efekt - falowanie. Falujące strony, falujący blok książki.

Naszą odpowiedzią jest sama hala produkcyjna. Utrzymujemy w niej stabilne i relatywnie wysokie powietrze - około 40 do 50% wilgotności względnej. W takich warunkach falowanie jest znacznie mniej widoczne.
