JT Biokinetics
Helping you move pain-free again - naturally. Every plan is personal, proven & built around you.
A slightly quieter few weeks behind the scenes…
Packing up a space that’s held a lot of work, a lot of conversations, and a lot of progress.
Reigate → Dorking.
Not a polished move.
Not everything neatly wrapped up.
But the work continues.
Now based at The Cycle Collective, working out of the bike fitting room ☺️— which, in many ways, makes even more sense. Movement, mechanics, and how your body actually works as a whole rather than separate parts.
Same approach.
Whole-body.
Step by step.
No shortcuts.
If you’re currently mid-rehab with me, nothing changes in how we work — just the location.
If you’ve been meaning to get started, this is your nudge.

These socks aren’t a mistake.
Today in clinic, I was wearing intentionally mismatched socks.
Tomorrow is World Down Syndrome Day.
Extra chromosomes aren’t something to fix.
They’re part of a person’s design.
In my work, everything comes back to this —
no two bodies move the same.
Each person brings their own history, their own patterns, their own way of adapting.
And progress doesn’t come from forcing people into a “normal” way of moving….
it comes from understanding what’s in front of you, and working with it.
That’s the work.
Supporting each person —
their body, their pace, their way forward.
So today is a reminder:
Different isn’t something to fix.
It’s something to understand and support.
And sometimes, something as simple as a pair of socks
can start that conversation.
If you’re marking the day too, tag .

I didn’t plan for this ride… and it showed.
I was in a new area, followed a route I’d downloaded, and just assumed everything would be fine.
Hadn’t checked my tyre sealant.
Had a tube… but not the right pump.
And honestly — when last did I actually practise changing a back wheel?
We rely on what usually works… until it doesn’t.
This is exactly what I see in rehab.
People feel okay, so they stop.
They assume their body will cope… because it has before.
But when something unexpected happens — a longer run, a new surface, a busy week, a poor night’s sleep —
that’s when the gaps show.
Recovery isn’t just about feeling better.
It’s about being prepared for what you didn’t plan for.
If your body only works when everything is ‘just right’, there’s still work to do.
Get started properly - and ideally make sure you go through the full process, not just the basics!
Today is World Sleep Day.
Recovery isn’t just about the exercises you do in the clinic or the gym.
Sleep is where much of the real repair happens.
During sleep:
• the brain clears metabolic waste
• muscles repair and adapt
• the nervous system shifts out of stress mode and also processes new habits / information
Consistently poor sleep is linked with higher injury risk, slower healing, and reduced performance.
If recovery feels slower than expected, sleep is often one of the first places worth looking.
