Calmsie - a data-driven solution to help children overcome mental health concerns

We’re in the UK 🇬🇧 as part of the Startups Are Us program - wrapping up the fourth and final mission of this journey.
Over the past year, the program has taken us to the United Arab Emirates, the US, and Singapore. Each market offered a different perspective on how edtech and digital health solutions are built, evaluated, and adopted. The UK marks the closing chapter - and a particularly important one.
Our main focus this week is BETT UK, where education, technology, and mental health intersect at scale. Beyond BETT, we’ll also be meeting with researchers from the University of Cambridge, as well as investors and ecosystem partners, to continue conversations around evidence-based mental health solutions and real-world adoption.
Each stop in this program has reinforced the same lesson: meaningful impact in mental health doesn’t come from ideas alone, but from understanding local systems, workflows, and needs, and building solutions that can truly fit into them.
This project is co-financed by the European Union under Action 2.29 “Start-Ups Are Us”, within Priority II: An environment fostering innovation, as part of the European Funds for a Modern Economy programme, Polska Agencja Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości

If we want technology to truly improve healthcare, it needs more than good engineering - it needs trust, context, and policy shaped by those who understand all three.
On May 27th, 2025, Calmsie’s CEO, Marcin Waryszak, participated in the 7th Telemedicine Roundtable, held under the leadership of Minister of Health Izabela Leszczyna
This roundtable focused on:
🔹 Digital transformation of healthcare as a priority of Poland’s EU Council Presidency
🔹 The Platform of Intelligent Services as a milestone in AI adoption
🔹 Digital transformation of care for women and children
🔹 Changes to the Medical Code of Ethics in the context of artificial intelligence and telemedicine
Calmsie and Marcin Waryszak have been part of this expert group for over 1.5 years, continuously contributing insights from digital mental health and working to ensure that the needs of children, adolescents, and clinicians are reflected in national digital health strategy.
The discussion once again proved that policy made in isolation from practice leads to digital tools that don't work at the bedside. But when public institutions consistently engage with innovators and clinicians, real progress becomes possible. What continues to stand out is the value of long-term expert engagement - not just in technology development, but in the policymaking process itself. Practical insight from the field is indispensable when designing solutions that truly respond to the needs of both patients and providers.
Thank you to the Ministry of Health and all the participants for fostering this essential dialogue. Calmsie remains committed to helping shape a digital health system that’s inclusive, safe, and clinically meaningful.

🚀 Startups don’t grow by accident.
🚀 The right product isn’t enough.
You need the right team, the right questions, and the right challenges to push you forward. It is a constant balance between vision and ex*****on.
That’s why, represented by Marcin Waryszak, we’re joining , an accelerator powered by INCO, with support from Google, designed for highly selected organizations using AI for social impact.
Over the next six months, we’ll double down on what works, challenge our assumptions, and push our ex*****on even further with support from top mentors and industry experts. For us at Calmsie, this isn’t just about growth. It’s about scaling impact the right way - so that what we build today can truly make a difference tomorrow.
🔹 But one of the biggest drivers of success? The right community. 🔹
Surrounding yourself with ambitious, like-minded builders who challenge, inspire, and push you forward. Excited to learn alongside OpenAtlas, Numo ADHD, Voda: The LGBTQIA+ Mental Health App, Taaly, SensePilot, Handy Signs, elicėjus, NeurekaLAB, Kestrix, Develop-Players, Recycllux, and the rest of the GrowAI cohort!
Let’s get to work!
For the past few months, we’ve been part of Google for Startups in Poland - a place where we can use office space and, more importantly, benefit from the amazing 🔹 community effect 🔹
It’s a space full of open, supportive people who share knowledge and help each other grow.
Refently, we had two unexpected visitors - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Polish tech has huge potential, and we need more places like Google Campus where founders can grow, learn, and connect with the right people.
The more we support this ecosystem, the stronger it becomes!
