This is a signal in rememberence of the Warsaw Uprising that fought against the N**i occupation during the World War 2. It started on August 1st 1944 at 5 pm - the time also known as "the W hour" (W stands for "walka" / "fight" or "wybuch" / "outburst"). The uprising lasted for 63 days.
This is our way of thanking the many men and women who lost their lives fighting for what is right. People take a minute of pause to show their respect for the heroes. Join us if you like!
