Jasmine

The Russian-language name - mock orange - the shrub received for its stems, which were used to make chibouks for smoking pipes (after the soft core was removed from them). In addition, it is often called jasmine, due to the similarity of its white fragrant flowers with fragrant flowers of "room" jasmine.

Flowering begins in late May - late July. Blooms in the 3rd year after planting. Some species, such as Gordon's Mock orange (Philadelphus gordonianus), may bloom again in the fall. Jasmine is resistant to pests and diseases, except that it can sometimes be affected by aphids

Jasmine bushes have curly stems and flowers gathered in star-shaped inflorescences.
