My full name is Debra Josephson. I’m an ambitious person, originally from New York and has lived in and explored many countries to grow my humanity and knowledge of self and others. I received a B.F.A and M.A. in Art | Aesthetics | Critical Thinking with an M.S. in Practical Journalism. Therefore, I’m an educated, experienced, globalized professional woman. I’m now residing in Praga, Warsaw since October 2017. Why?
An artist, like myself, needs an environment that inspires them. Europe has the history and spaces to offer that. I got an opportunity to start over in Poland. So, I was immediately drawn to North Praga, for its authenticity, history and by its modernizing spirit. It sparked my aspirations and, therefore, I found it easy to envision the opportunity to participate deeper - beyond my English language skills.
EE's mission is focused on community support with art, culture, language skills - within an increased awareness of a thriving, developing neighborhood in Nova Praga (Praga Polnoc), Warsaw, Poland - located on Strzelecka Street, near the construction site of the Szwedzka metro station.
By -sharing- the space with those who reside here, EE hopes to strengthen understanding of American/Polish and various cultures, respect for each other and democratic values. Community Development is a process that enables communities to develop active, sustainable and supportive environments in which people live and work. It is, as a philosophy, concerned with offering services with public activities and actions.
I wanted to integrate my passions, knowledge and skills for visual|oral communication, so, I looked for a "brick and mortar" environment, that could advance a business plan.
There’s active participation and empowerment at Experient Explorer, with the forefront of American English within cultural workshops-lead by myself , Poles or foreigners residing here. In addition, Experient Explorer promotes art exhibitions, co-working space and cooperates with the local vintage community and businesses.
