Have you ever heard of majówka (ma-YOOV-ka)? It’s one of the most beloved times of the year in Poland – a long weekend full of picnics, barbecues, and spring vibes! 🌳☀️

Majówka usually takes place around May 1st to May 3rd, combining three important dates:
📅 May 1st – Labour Day (Święto Pracy) – a public holiday;
📅 May 2nd – Flag Day (Dzień Flagi) – not an official holiday, but many people take the day off;
📅 May 3rd – Constitution Day (Święto Konstytucji 3 Maja) – celebrating Europe’s first modern constitution, adopted in 1791 🇵🇱📜
📅 May 4th – sunday family bonding / restday/ church.

Poles love to use this time to relax in nature, travel, spend time with family, and enjoy the first real warmth of spring. Many people leave the cities and head to the countryside, the mountains, or lakes. 🧺🚗⛰️
