Another controversial topic let’s discuss…
The main reason we crop ears is because we train dogs for protection, and the intimidation factor is part of that job. If the look of the dog alone can make someone back off — and the dog never has to bite, engage, or make contact — that’s the ideal outcome. A deterrent is always better than a confrontation.
I’m not going to sit here and tell you it’s about preventing ear infections or any of the usual myths. That’s just not true. There’s no major health reason to do it — it’s strictly preference and purpose. It is a proper surgical procedure done by licensed vets, and as you can see, the next day these dogs are usually unbothered and back to normal.
Also, not all my dogs have their ears cropped. It depends on what we’re training them for. If a dog isn’t going into protection work, more often than not we leave the ears natural.
And for our clients, we never do entire litters. We only crop if someone specifically requests it — otherwise, it’s left completely up to them.
I appreciate you approaching this respectfully. Makes it a lot easier to have a real conversation. 🤷🏽♂️👇🏾🫡

Mexican Pitbull vs. American Pitbull: Tenacity & Power
Mexican Pitbull (Chamuco)
This compact and powerful bull-type dog from Mexico is known for its intense drive and muscular build. It stands 46 cm tall and weighs 25 kg. The Mexican Pitbull possesses a formidable bite force of 240 PSI, showcasing its strength and tenacity in a robust frame.
American Pitbull
A well-known and athletic companion, the American Pitbull is a powerful and confident dog. It typically stands 53 cm tall and weighs 28 kg. With a strong bite force of 234 PSI, the American Pitbull is renowned for its courage, agility, and muscular physique.
Expert Verdict: Who Wins?
This is a very close comparison between two highly capable and often misidentified bull-type dogs.
For Bite Force Superiority: The Mexican Pitbull has a very slight edge with 240 PSI compared to the American Pitbull's 234 PSI. While minimal, it is technically higher.
For Weight & Height: The American Pitbull is slightly larger overall, standing taller (53 cm vs. 46 cm) and weighing slightly more (28 kg vs. 25 kg).
Both breeds are celebrated for their incredible tenacity, strength, and athleticism.
The American Pitbull could be considered the "winner" due to its slightly larger size (height and weight), which provides a bit more physical presence. However, the difference in bite force is negligible, indicating both possess immense power for their build. It's truly a contest of very similar, powerful breeds.
