The Cannabis industry in Puerto Rico has grown significantly over the last five years. Ever since ma*****na was medically legalized in 2017, thousands of citizens have been signing up for their medical cards. Just last year, the Medical Cannabis Act expanded, adding greater legal and employment protections for medical Cannabis users. With the amazing growth we have seen since medical Cannabis was legalized, It's Only a matter of time until recreational Cannabis is legalized. This will further bolster Puerto Rico's economy due to tourism. Right now, tourism makes up less than 20 percent of the revenues generated in the Cannabis industry on the island. Experts predict trending upwards of 35 percent in tourism alone.
