Today marks 77 years since the Tantura Massacre, when Zionist militias killed hundreds of Palestinians in the coastal village, buried their bodies in unmarked mass graves and drove their families out. Over their graves now stands a parking lot to a tourist attraction, ‘prime real estate’ similar to that in Gaza just a few miles away. Gaza is the last stretch of the Mediterranean that remains Palestinian. As Israeli occupation forces continue to decimate Gaza and Israeli leaders call for the relocation of its Palestinian population, under US President Donald Trump’s plan to ‘develop’ Gaza and turn it into the ‘Riviera of the Middle East’, @withlove.jehan revisits the events of Tantura’s destruction in 1948.

Israeli protesters were filmed attempting to block aid deliveries to Gaza through the Karam Abu Salem crossing.
A video online showed lorries lined up on the road as men waving Israeli flags stood in front of them in an attempt to stop them from crossing.

Five lorries entered Gaza on Monday in the first delivery of aid for the Palestinian territory's 2.3 million people since Israel imposed a blockade on March 2. None of that aid has been distributed so far, according to the UN and aid agencies, although levels of hunger among Gazans have reached dangerous levels.
