“See You Soon” live from Mona’s 60th birthday party in Portugal ✨

2021 sucked, for sure - but one of the coolest things I got to do all year was to drive to the south of France and participate in ’s first-ever songwriters’ retreat with and . For 5 amazing days, we got together in the morning to exercise our creative muscles over coffee, split up to work solo for a few hours, then had a show-and-tell every night of what we had worked on, ate a delicious (mostly) vegan home-cooked meal, and jammed (and drank) through the night. We even managed to work in a nice hike and a swim in a local watering hole. 💚 I wrote 5 songs in 5 days, mostly because I had no other distractions, but really because that was the assignment; it was the most fruitful my songwriting had been in years. ✌🏼

I am so grateful I got to make music amongst those amazing musicians in that time, and especially grateful for the last morning, when we recorded ourselves jamming together on each others’ tunes before parting ways. Here we are working out my new song “See You Soon”, which was written on the grass at Joy’s 200-year-old French chalet.
