Many of you know that through my years in photography, I worked on a breast cancer project to support fighters and raise awareness. I met incredible women at different stages of their journeys — never imagining my own twin sister would become part of it. Watching her go through treatment was heartbreaking and powerful. Today marks two years since her diagnosis. I love you, my — may it never return. Below is her message to everyone. I want to share a message of hope, strength, and resilience with you today.
We never know what tomorrow may bring. I always took care of myself and had no worries about the small lump in my breast—after all, my mammogram results were clear and fine just a few months before. But my husband insisted that I get it checked. I could never have imagined how fast cancer can grow.
My life was shattered. I had to learn to live in a new reality—not just me, but my entire family. A year of battle, fear, hopelessness, and pain. Chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, endless injections, and handfuls of pills. The only wish was for the nightmare to end. To win. To live. I have come out stronger on the other side. I am fully recovered, and I stand here as living proof that no matter how tough the journey may seem, there is light ahead.
To those still fighting—never lose faith in your strength. You are braver than you think and stronger than you know. Take it one step at a time, lean on your loved ones, and believe in the power of your own resilience.
To those who are healthy—please take care of yourselves. Prioritize regular check-ups, listen to your body, and never take your health for granted. Cancer doesn’t hurt, but it can grow silently inside your body. Listen to yourself. Be on time—early detection can save your life.
And to every woman out there—know that you are loved, valued, and capable of overcoming anything life throws your way. Don’t waste time waiting for the “right moment.” Happiness is here and now. Live fully, love deeply, and take care of yourself. Life is precious, and so are you.
