It was with great pride that Gerry Fagan was recently invited to join Carl Munson on The Resident Podcast.

As we revisit past projects, we are pleased to reintroduce one of Oceânico’s most iconic developments, Amendoeira.

Set within the Algarve’s rolling landscape, with fairways framed by holm oaks and olive trees, the resort reflects a considered approach to golf and lifestyle.

At its heart are two championship courses by Sir Nick Faldo and Christy O’Connor Jnr., each offering a distinct and complementary experience.

Beyond the course design, Amendoeira has developed a rhythm of its own. The floodlit Academy Course introduces the game in a welcoming setting, while events such as the Amendoeira World Kids Golf Championship ensure it remains a recognised venue for competitive play.

Gerry and Simon have maintained a close relationship with the owners of Oceânico’s projects, including Parreira Afonso, founder of Grupo Rolear and current owners of Amendoeira. Together, Grupo Rolear has continued to strengthen and enhance the resort’s value proposition.

Today, Amendoeira stands as a cornerstone of golf in the Algarve, defined as much by the experience it offers as by the courses themselves.
