Today, we are happy to announce our eight featured neighbourhood: 𝗕𝗮𝗶𝘅𝗮 / 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗱𝗼.

Beneath the tiled facades and along grand boulevards, reimagined museums, artisanal ateliers, concept stores and Portuguese brand showrooms are quietly turning this historic neighbourhood into one of the city’s most compelling design destinations. Discover it during LDW’26 (𝟮𝟳–𝟯𝟭 𝗠𝗮𝘆).

Over the five days, iconic venues, museums, shops, studios and galleries, open their doors across Baixa/Chiado, offering a glimpse into the personal approaches and creative worlds of the designers and artists who inhabit them.

𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 | Between storage and storytelling. Cabinets are more than containers, they organise daily life while quietly shaping the atmosphere of a space. Whether as a bookshelf or a place to hang our clothes, these cabinets reveal different ways of storing everyday objects and personal curiosities, balancing what is displayed and what remains hidden.

Rooted in woodworking traditions and refined through contemporary practice, these pieces explore materiality, joinery and surface as expressive tools. From solid wood to mixed materials and experimental steel constructions, each cabinet reflects a careful dialogue between function, craft and authorship, designed to anchor interiors while evolving with the lives around them.
