IN MEMORY OF BEN VERSTEEG

We received today, with great shock and sadness, the news of the untimely passing of Ben Versteeg.

Ben Versteeg was the founder of ByteDelight. For many years he was a reference point for ZX Spectrum enthusiasts who needed parts to keep their machines working or to give them a new life. He was one of the main suppliers of divMMC, ZX HD, Spectranet and many other important devices.

A few years ago, Ben visited Portugal, where I had the pleasure of meeting him and his family in our RetroShop.pt / UltimateMiSTer.com H.Q.
That moment made his passion and kindness even more clear.

His loss is immeasurable for the ZX Spectrum community in Europe.

Rest in peace, Ben. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Ben’s family and loved ones.

On behalf of the entire RetroShop.pt and UltimateMiSTer.com team I would like to express my condolences to our friend Fabio Belavenuto, together with Victor Trucco they were the mentors of TB Blue (later known as ZX Spectrum NEXT), I wish his family strength and resilience. I had the privilege of working on some projects, MSX cores and ZX Spectrum products. He was always available for all the help we needed since the first FPGA in the retro gaming back in 2015. RIP Fabio!

The new case Storm Pi is coming for the by Taki Udon. It’s compatible with original A/V Pro 9.2 and Taki version. Many extras and upgrades available including heatsink, Noctua Premium fan, MT32, SNACs etc.
