It’s been two weeks since we returned from Split, and we’re still making sense of everything we brought back: the learnings, the references, the conversations that are slowly turning into ideas and, hopefully, into something concrete.

AAs part of the ECHN P2P Learning Program, we spent five days at Culture Hub Croatia – PROSTOR: a creative hub rooted in the modernist Kineski Zid building, in the Spinut neighbourhood. We explored their spaces and programmes, attended community events, visited Split’s independent cultural scene, including Klub Kocka and community radio KLFM, and co-hosted a public session on how creative communities grow from a single building into a full urban district.

We also had the chance to discover the work of some of the many talented artists who are part of PROSTOR’s community, whose pieces you’ll find woven through the photos we’re sharing in this post: murals by Andrea Resner and Apolonija Lučić, a pool intervention by Lana Stojićević, the audio guide Filling the Void by Verica Kovacevska, the photography series Južina by Ana Vuko, and Signs of Change by Crystal Clean (Dora Bilandžić & Andrea Šarić).

The conversations with Marina, Jasmina and Kristina were honest and generous, about funding precarity, community sustainability, residency models, and what it really takes to keep a creative hub alive and meaningful over time.

Este sábado, 21 de março, entre as 16h e as 20h - a CRU volta a integrar as Inaugurações no Quarteirão Bombarda.

Apresentamos 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍\𝙑𝙄𝙂𝙄\𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙀, uma instalação audiovisual com performance de Beatriz Oliveira, com a colaboração de Astra Vaga. Curadoria de Rossana Mendes Fonseca.

INTER\VIGI\LANTE é uma instalação audiovisual (…) que nos interpela quanto à memória muscular do corpo, à mimese que integra e à linguagem que desenvolve.

O corpo é linguagem em constante tradução (…) cada movimento carrega uma memória que não escolhemos conscientemente: gestos herdados, padrões aprendidos (…).

A obra desenvolve-se entre instalação e performance (…) num sistema de retransmissão que duplica, projeta e transforma a imagem do corpo em tempo real.

(…) uma reflexão sobre o corpo como arquivo vivo — não apenas como registo, mas como forma de descodif**ação do mundo.

INTER\VIGI\LANTE propõe a hipótese de um arquivo vivo (…) uma identidade em constante recomposição.
