Word of the Day: لَيْتَ layta, meaning: I wish, or “if only”.
The difference in pronunciation between Fusha and Arab Dialects:
Fusha لَيْتَ layta
Dialects لَيْت lait
Example:
Fusha
ألا ليت الشباب يعود يوما
If only my youth years would return one day
Dialects
ليتك سألتني قبل ما تشتري ..
I wish you would have asked me before you buy ...

Free Course
I am starting a free course to help non-Arabic speakers understand the Arabic of the Quran with a focus on AlFatiha and parts of Surat AlBaqarah.
You don’t need to have any knowledge of Arabic to take this course. You will only need to know how to read the Quran.
It is highly demanding and needs at least 30 minutes of self study outside the class time on a daily basis.
The frequency is once a week and it will start in August. (Dates TBD)
