Damages of cybercrimes are increasing due to technology's weaknesses, and to the human lack of knowledge & awareness.

According to IBM report on “Cost of a data breach”, the average global data breach cost in 2022 was $4.35 million, up 2.6% compared to 2021. Even more jarring is that 57% of cyberattack victims said their breach was due to vulnerabilities, and 34% knew of the vulnerability but to apply patches in time. In addition, according to Cybersecurity Ventures, global cybercrime costs will increase by 15% annually, resulting in $10.5 trillion in 2025.

According to the Knowbe4 report, on employees’ cybersecurity knowledge as well as how well they applied it, from a range of different industries: over 50% of employees don’t think it’s likely they can infect their phones with malware by clicking on links. Even worse, nearly a quarter of all employees believe that suspicious links pose little to no threat at all. The report also showed an alarming number of employees who are of basic cybersecurity practices.
