Home Alone then ~ 1990…
Home Alone now ~ 2025
From the first time I saw this movie, I loved it.
Every bit.
It felt like what I had always dreamed of as a child.
Big family, always loud, never ending chaos, but always love. So much love, regardless of how siblings chose to show it - it embodied family, closeness, and all that love ~ all the things I wanted for as far back as I can remember.
Being an only child has its privileges, no arguing that. But being part of something bigger, with people who love you unconditionally, and you’re never alone, that’s everything.
This movie, and Home Alone 2, are my comfort movies during the holidays, (among many others), and this little piece of nostalgia made me smile.
I hope it does the same for you
