Seeking something a bit unique, and surprisingly fun? Come and sample the homemade sauce, chutney and jam entries and vote for your favourite! Taste and sample as many times as you like, bring a bunch of friends/foodies (maybe you’re a secret sauce connoisseur)? Stick around and see if your vote wins, watch the sunset at the beach, have a bite to eat, but don’t forget to vote in this fun competition! See you from 5pm to 7pm this Saturday.

How to enter your sauce –

Drop off your entry sauce to Torba Store in Duhail. Deadline for entries is Sat June 8th at 3pm. Please write the name of the sauce, and your contact details with your entry.

Competition day – public voting open!

The competition will be on Saturday June 8th, from 5pm to 7pm. We invite you to come and sample all the entries and vote for your favourite in the ‘people’s choice’ category.

Each sauce will be laid out as a sample for tasting, with the name of the sauce and a number for voting. Visitors can taste as many times and as many sauces before placing their vote.

Once the tasting closes, there will be a tally of the votes and then a prize giving! The winner in each category will be announced straight away, and yes there will be some prizes.

يوم المسابقة - تعال وصوّت!

ستقام المسابقة في يوم السبت 8 يونيو، من الساعة 5 مساءً حتى 7 مساءً. نحن ندعوك للحضور واختبار جميع الصلصات المشاركة والتصويت لمفضلتك في فئة "اختيار الأشخاص".

سيتم وضع كل صلصة كعينة للتذوق. يمكن للزوار التذوق عدة مرات كما يحلو لهم ولكن يمكنهم التصويت لخيار واحد فقط في كل فئة.

بمجرد انتهاء التذوق، سيكون هناك حصر للأصوات ثم توزيع الجوائز! سيتم الإعلان عن الفائز في كل فئة على الفور، ونعم ستكون هناك بعض الجوائز.

How to enter – Drop off your bottle of sauce to the Torba Store in Duhail, with the name of the sauce, your name and phone number.

There’s no entry fee. You can enter as many sauce varieties as you like!

Examples for sauce varieties include dips, pesto, pickled/fermented, chilli, ketchup.

We will also have a specific chutney and jam category.
