The Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast fresh to strong northwesterly winds from Monday, July 6, continuing through the end of the week.
The windy conditions may lead to blowing dust, reduced horizontal visibility in some areas, and marine warnings. Residents are advised to take extra care while driving and follow the latest weather updates, especially if travelling offshore.
تتوقع إدارة الأرصاد الجوية في قطر رياحاً شمالية غربية قوية تبدأ من يوم الاثنين 6 يوليو وتستمر حتى نهاية الأسبوع.
قد تؤدي الرياح المثيرة للغبار إلى انخفاض الرؤية الأفقية في بعض المناطق، مع صدور تحذيرات بحرية. ويُنصح السكان بتوخي الحذر أثناء القيادة ومتابعة آخر التحديثات الجوية، خاصة عند السفر إلى البحر.
The world’s oceans have recorded their warmest June on record, with sea surface temperatures reaching 21°C and marine heatwaves affecting 82% of the global ocean.
Scientists say the combination of climate change and the developing El Niño weather pattern could drive even more record-breaking temperatures in the months ahead, increasing the risk of stronger storms, rising sea levels, and coral reef damage.
سجلت محيطات العالم أعلى درجات حرارة في شهر يونيو على الإطلاق، إذ بلغت درجات حرارة سطح البحر 21 درجة مئوية، فيما أثرت موجات الحر البحرية على 82% من المحيطات عالميًا.
ويقول العلماء إن الجمع بين تغير المناخ وتطور ظاهرة النينيو المناخية قد يؤدي إلى تسجيل مزيد من درجات الحرارة القياسية خلال الأشهر المقبلة، ما يزيد من مخاطر العواصف الأقوى، وارتفاع مستويات سطح البحر، وتضرر الشعاب المرجانية.
