Professor Mohammed Doty arrived in Middle East as an unemployed American white belt armed with nothing but a dream. He went on to become the founder of the largest most successful Jiu Jitsu academy in Qatar. If this wasn’t enough of an accomplishment, he went on to achieve his Bjj Black Belt all the while winning multiple championships around the world and raising his own family. His wife becomes the first Nikabi (fully veiled) BJJ black belt in the world, challenging all kinds of misconceptions and becoming an inspiration to so many women. To top this all of, his son becomes one of the youngest black belts in the world and has aspirations to become of the best Jiu Jitsu athletes globally. This documentary will explore their journey in building the sport of Jiu Jitsu in Qatar, overcoming adversities, dealing with a deeply personal tragedy whilst fighting against misunderstandings regarding their faith. This is a story of triumph, which I believe will inspire many regardless of their faith or interest in the sport of Jiu Jitsu.
