SINC ALL YOURS

Standing on the jetty with camera in hand, I watched the skies for the best angler in the area, while a gaggle of unsuccessful fishermen stared blankly into space, daydreaming of the one that got away. The air was thick with tension. The fish just weren’t biting, at least not for the human fishermen. For the Osprey, things were much different. Spying its target from the sky, it had no problem showing everyone who the real angler was. With a quick dip into the salty Atlantic, the bird emerged with a very unhappy lizardfish. Of all the fish I’ve seen them catch, lizardfish almost always put up the strongest fight, but the Osprey’s cage of razor sharp talons knows its prisoners well. There is rarely an escapee, and this is just one of many reasons the Osprey is the best at what it does.
