Windows Update auto-installed HP's BIOS fix. It bricked them.

HP pushed this critical update automatically through Windows.

Nobody clicked install, and nobody could delay it.

The update hit workstations that cost more than £4,000.

If you own one, your laptop may now refuse to start.

Fixing it is hard and needs a special HP dongle.

HP also did this once before, back in 2024.
