Scientists in China have developed contact lenses that see the invisible.
Instead of bulky night-vision goggles, these soft, transparent lenses use nanoparticles that transform infrared light into visible colors. In early human trials, people could read hidden patterns, spot signals, and even see shapes in total darkness.
The wild part? They can detect infrared even with eyes closed, since the light passes through eyelids. Right now, the lenses need strong infrared sources like LEDs, but one day they could revolutionize security, medicine, and accessibility-bringing superhuman vision to everyday life.
